Question: 

If I win the competition, is any equity from my company taken?

Answer:

Equity is not taken and remains entirely with the founders.


Question: 

Will my ideas be protected?

ANSWER:

All information submitted to the entrepreneur challenge will be considered confidential. any individuals attending any public sessions of the competitions will not be asked or required to agree to or sign NDA or other similar agreements therefore any information or data discussed in public is not confidential and therefore companies should look to not disclose proprietary information or should protect their intellectual property. 


Question: 

Does my entire team have to be UCSD students?

ANSWER:

No, but you must be a ucsd student in order to create an ideator account, submit an idea, and be the person pitching. 


Question: 

How developed must my idea be in order to compete?

ANSWER:

The competition is open to ideas at any stage.
