Steps for Applying:
1. Before applying, please read and sign THIS document regarding eligibility. Note that apply and competing does not entitle your team for prize money. You must satisfy all requirements before any awards are considered after the competition.
2. Login or sign up on UC San Diego’s Startup Wind idea platform. Competition space is limited and all information submitted will be used in the selection process. All information will remain confidential and not be shared with anyone outside of your team or The Entrepreneur Challenge. Click on this link to get a step by step guide on how to submit your idea.
3. Now that your profile is complete and you have clicked on 'Request Access To Join' under the group section of Startup Wind, wait for an Entrepreneur Challenge member to review and verify your profile is complete. Regularly check your email address for additional information that may be needed for final approval of your application. All applications submitted before February 4th will be given notice by February 6th if there is any issues with your application. Any applications received after February 4th will not be given notice for an incomplete application so by submitting late, you risk being eligible to complete if you do not complete your application properly. Therefore it is in your best interest to complete the application before February 4th in case you do have an incomplete application.
4. Those who properly filled out their application will be notified by February 18th whether they have been accepted into the competition.
RULES & EVENT LOGISTICS: No props/prototypes, no visuals, and only 1 presenter. There are no exceptions. If you bring props or violate these rules, you will be disqualified. Alex Boone will simply call your company onto the stage, and once you start, the judges clock will count down from 90 seconds and after you are done, you will walk off stage (there will be no questions). Keep in mind that going over or under the 90 seconds will affect your score.
